Bell Air R/C Flyers December 3 rd 2007 Meeting

Call to Order:

The meeting was called to order at 7pm at the WECU Educational Facility at 511 East Holly Street . Kelvin welcomed members and guests to the annual December meeting/ holiday party.

Old Business:

24 new hats have been ordered at a total cost of $389.20.

Kelvin has contacted Lee Carter about new wind socks for the field.

Renny Stefani circulated his fuel order sheet for in 2008.

New Business:

Several awards were presented: A special award went to John Vanderhage for his great photos of the 2007 events. Also retiring Safety Officer and CD of the Fun Scale and Warbirds event was presented with a book on dog fighters.

Wings were presented to the new pilots for 2007 by Chief instructor Renny Stefani. Not all the new pilots were present, but Kevin Ott, Don Page and Mike Peetoom were on hand to receive them. Other new pilots qualifying this year are Pall Grondal, Rory Cahill and Lloyd Marusiak.

There was also a door prize drawing for a $20 gift certificate.

Other Business:

Kelvin Buck has agreed to remain as President for 2008. Jay Schoening will be the new Safety Officer.

Charlie announced the results of the 2007 Combat competition. Of the 8 pilots competing Jeff Mullen placed 3 rd, Martin Cassel 2 nd and Charles Pilchard in 1 st place.

Renny Stefani provided a silent auction of donated items. The donor has gotten out of the hobby and has given them to the club.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 and the group celebrated with goodies prepared, and baked by Mrs. Gail Buck_ our Hard Working Treasurer.
