Minutes May 17/04

Pat opened the meeting at 6:10

Officer reports:

Scott - Reading of the minutes

Gerry Becker - Safety report

Gerry thanked Pat for creating the emergency location sheets with phone numbers and address in the case of an emergency and you need to call 911.

Gerry turned the meeting over to Jim Bradshaw for a short talk on electric planes.

Mark - Treasurers report

Pat attended the Skagit Valley club to meet with them and keep things open between the clubs.

Pat went up to the Can Am and spent the day with them and other club members.

Pat sent out greetings to other clubs to say hi and to let them know what we are up to. He has received some positive feed back.

Pat is starting to look for more help from club members on the coming events this year.

Committee reports:

Russ – Lawn mowing. Russ thanked every volunteer including Mike bishop for mowing the outer field.

Jerry - Pylon we are ready to start and look forward to the season.

Charlie - Combat. He went over the rules and they are also listed on the web site.

Old business:

The impound was painted and all major work is done for the year. The field looks great. The painting lady for the sign has completed it and the sign looks great. The Ski to Sea parade is coming up and we will meet at Pro Tool on Saturday at 9.

Big Bird – sign up sheets for help. Please come and support the club with this event. Impound control, Parking lot, Signs posted from I-5.

Gail is going to be working the concession stand all day for both days.

Don - Airfest report. Don is not able to make contact with the lady in charge. We do have a hangar that we can use to store the planes in at night.
